taite shomo is a multidisciplinary artist based in denver. they have a b.a. in art history and gender, sexuality, and feminist studies from middlebury college and an m.a. in art history from the university of colorado, boulder. taite's artistic practice is informed by their academic work, which focused on the intersections of art, medicine, and the construction of gender in medieval europe. their artistic works often consider the (un)altered body and its relationship to queerness.​ taite primarily works in ceramics and on paper.
